TULSA, Okla. —

Hydration is key to staying safe and healthy during extreme heat, but some Center of the Universe Festival attendees said water wasn’t as easy to come by at the festival as you might think.

Many festivalgoers said they were turned away from food truck vendors when they asked to purchase water. They told FOX23 that the vendors aren’t allowed to serve any liquids.

A spokesperson for the Center of the Universe Festival sent FOX23 the following statement:

“There is no shortage of water. We have it available at four festival tents and numerous brick and mortar restaurants, bars and clubs.”

The festival is a two-day outdoor event in downtown Tulsa’s Brady Arts District
