The family of a missing Bixby woman is now asking the public for help.
48-year-old Kelley Harris was reported missing on Thursday.
Bixby police say Harris was last seen six days ago. She was driving a champagne colored 2000 Chrysler Cirrus.
Robert Harris, Kelley’s husband, told FOX23 he's hoping someone will notice his Vikings license plate. He's caught a lot of flack for having it in Oklahoma. He's hoping the same way people noticed it then; they'll notice it now and help him find his wife.
"This is horrible and I would not wish this on my worst enemy,” said Robert. “The fear, the helplessness, it's unbelievable."
Robert Harris went to bed on July 3rd, but when he woke up the next morning he realized his wife never came home. Harris tried calling her but all the calls went straight to voicemail. Her son, Bradney Chitwood, spent the last few days driving around many of the places his mom liked to go in Bixby hoping to find her there. He even postponed his wedding three weeks before he was set to walk down the aisle.
"What am I going to do for the rest of my life without my mom?" he asked.
His sister, Ashley Shockley, who is eight months pregnant, is fighting the harsh reality that her mother could miss the birth of her first grandchild.
"I'm just trying to stay as optimistic as possible,” said Shockley. “I’m not trying to think of the worst at all."
Bixby Police showed FOX23 surveillance video of the last store Kelley was known to visit (a Wal-Mart in Bixby). She was there around 1:30 p.m. on July 3rd. The video shows Kelley buying supplies for her family's Fourth of July party. Police say she was carrying $860 on her at the time.
"I'm terrified. I'm terrified," said her husband. Police say carrying around that much money could’ve made her a target.
"This isn't like her,” said Robert Harris. “I figure if I don't say it, it won't happen. What would anyone's greatest fear be? I'm terrified."
"What could've happened to my mom?” asked Chitwood. “I run every scenario through my head."
Bixby police say Harris hasn't done anything like this before. They say her bank account hasn't been touched and her cell phone is still going to voicemail which they say makes this a very unusual case.
Police tell FOX23, she was last seen at a friend’s house where everything appeared to be fine.
If you have any information on the whereabouts of Kelley Harris, you're asked to contact the Bixby police at 918-366-8294, use case number 12-934-OF.
