The mother of one of the victims of a recent dog attack says they have met with the man police say saved their lives by stopping the aggressive animal.

She told FOX23 that Beverly and Irene met with Michael Harrell on Saturday. The women were attacked by a pit bull while ministering door-to-door in a north Tulsa neighborhood.  Harrell stopped the attack by running to the scene and shooting and killing the dog.

She also saidher daughter, Beverly, is getting physical therapy and is showing progress, though her leg injuries are still serious. The other victim, Irene, will undergo several more surgeries on her face due to the injuries.

The women have been getting support from all over the country, even speaking to some well-wishers on speakerphone in the hospital.

A guy I know has no legs. His choice companion pet is a pit bull. Gentle docile obedient animals. The only problem I have is when he leaves the room the dog wants me to scratch his butt. Poor thing since they trimmed his docking port his hair started falling out.
