The Sand Springs Police Department is investigating a three car collision which included one fatality on Thursday morning.
The crash happened just before 7 am on 41st street just east of Highway 97 in Sand Springs.
Police have identified the victim as Nita Marie Roden of Tulsa. The cause of the investigation is still ongoing. Police say initial reports indicate the vehicle that Mrs. Roden was driving crossed left of center as she was traveling west bound and struck another vehicle that was traveling east bound.
Police say this vehicle then struck a third vehicle that was also east bound. Both of the other drivers were transported to local hospitals for treatment, but it is believed their injuries to not be life threatening.
The Oklahoma medical examiner's office in Tulsa will determine Roden’s cause of death.
