Tulsa police have arrested a man in connection to a shooting near the Tulsa International Airport.
Police said around 4 a.m. employees at the Fine Airport Parking noticed a man prowling their lots and called Tulsa Airport police.
Police said the airport officer observed the suspect leave the Garden Hilton Hotel at 7728 E Virgin Ct in a white pickup.
The airport officer said he commanded the truck to stop. He said the driver stopped the truck and got out, but the suspect and another witness remained in the truck. Police said the suspect then started driving the truck and tried to run over the airport officer.
Police said the airport officer opened fire on the truck, the truck crashed and the suspect ran from the scene. The other witness surrendered to the officer at this time.
Tulsa police assisted with the investigation and interviewed both witnesses, who identified the suspect as Richard Kinison. The Northern Oklahoma Violent Crimes Task Force located him near 51st and Memorial.
Police said Kinison has several warrants out for his arrest, including auto theft and concealing stolen property. He faces a charge of assault with a dangerous weapon for this incident.
