Two people shot and one woman had a gun pointed at her head in a drive by shooting spree in North Tulsa.

The suspects were on foot and the victims were in their car.

The crime spree happened overnight Thursday. At 3:00 am police were called about shots fired in the 1900 E. Young Street. At 3:30 am police were called to 1000 E. Virgin St. and at 4:30 am a woman driving to work saw a man step in front of her car and point a gun at her in the 3600 block of North Hartford.

Tulsa Police arrested three suspects, Demarreion Aldredge, 18, Reggie Williams, 18 and Brittany Sanders, 24, with two counts of shooting with intent to kill and one count of pointing a deadly weapon.

Tulsa Police said as they were canvassing the area looking for the suspects, the shooters didn’t know it at the time but officers believe their patrol car may have been the next target. When the suspects saw the headlights, they started to walk up to the car but backed away when they saw it was Tulsa Police.

“Kudos to the officer that is driving around looking for these desperadoes,” said TPD Homicide Sergeant Dave Walker.

In a random crime spree police said the three shooters found their targets by walking in front of the cars.

“You’re not going to run someone over in the street just because they are an ignorant pedestrian,” said Walker.

That’s when the victims told police the suspects would pull their gun. No robbery, no motive. The suspects didn’t give police a reason for the shootings.

"It could just be stupid acts by stupid people,” said Walker. "This stupidity or whatever you want to call it, this one there is no indication these people have a grudge against anybody they are just mean spirited individuals."

Their first victim feared going on camera but told FOX23 News what happened.

They said it started at 3 am. As the victim was heading to work, he prayed as he pulled out of his neighborhood. He saw three people on the curb at East Young and North Wheeling. One walked in front of his truck with his back to him and then turned around and pointed a gun at his windshield. The victim said he ducked and drove off.

He didn’t want the suspects following him back to his home so he called police at a nearby convenience store. The bullet went through his windshield and through his stocking cap.

"The poor victim who had his hat shot off I'm sure he will remember for the rest of his life,” said Walker.

A half hour later and a mile west at East Virgin and North Madison, a woman driving east on Virgin St. saw a man walk out in front of her car. She drove around him but he shot her, hitting in her in both arms.

She went to the hospital and is expected to be okay.

At 4:30 am in the 3600 block of North Hartford, a woman on her way to work saw a man walk in front of her car and point a gun.

"She had to dodge one to keep from hitting him. And he had a gun pointed at her so she dodged him and kept going,” said the victim’s family member. “It could have been worse. I could have lost my family; I could have lost my mom.
She couldn't have been here today but I am thankful she is here with me today," said the family member.

He is also thankful for the officers quick response who found the suspects just a few blocks away in the 4500 block of North Hartford.

"Hopefully these people will not see the light of day,” said Walker.

Police said Aldredge, Williams and Sanders have histories with police. Records show Aldredge has a warrant out of Dallas County for escaping custody and harming someone.

Too bad they don't have a pill to fix stupid. We could instantly cure the lack of smarts for lots of people. It's doubtful that any of these three will do life in prison. Under judge aleman they would. But that could probably be appealed under a prejudice ruling.
