Tulsa police are investigating an attempted rape.

Police said they got a call around midnight from a woman reporting that a man tried to rape her in north Tulsa.

The woman told police she was walking home near Admiral and Yale when a man in a gold car with a broken passenger window pulled up next to her and offered her a ride.

She told police the man pulled her into the car and demanded that she tell him where she lived. The woman lied and gave the man an address at 3rd and Utica.

Police said the woman told them the man took her to a car wash near 5th and Utica and tried to rape her but she fought him off and hid in bushes until he left.

Police said the victim gave them a vague description of the suspect. They want anyone with information about the case to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.

Glad she could escape her attacker. Maybe get a decoy out there to reel him in.
