@WyoMo, what do you suggest the citizens do to stop the crime I have called the cops three separate times when I saw people committing a crime,in broad daylight, when I called the police the cop answering the phone treated me like I was the criminal, very hostile, actually yelled at me because I didn't know more about the perps, then it took them 35 minutes to get here, and by the time they did, the perps were long gone, then they made remarks to make me think I could be arrested and charged with calling in a false crime report....so unless they are endangering my family, I don't bother with calling them anymore, someone breaks into my home, I will handle it before I call 911.

Who cut your hair, man!I believe if they were to run a professional anthropological study of this place they would find just that Maynot...too much time on their hands, healthy young men full of powerfull drugs and hormones, ignorant, uneducated, getting all their advise from the newest rap cd,way way too many of them in the same place living in a romanticized rap erotic dream, full of imaginery slights committed by their fellow death camp inmates, whoever thought up this set-up will not be treated well by history, not like you maynot a survivor from an abortion clinic

Kinda like you huh aleman ;) from a family of hairless cats? If you saw all this coming 20 years ago oh sage one, why didn't you tell his barber? Truth :-) aleman is NOT part of the solution! ergo he must be part of the problem. I'm not going to try to say that I have the solution to all the problems but I do know one thing for sure : ) if you got something for your hands to do that keeps you occupied and that feeds you then you will most likely do it, rather than run the streets like an animal.

Why is it that people blame all the problems on the Politicians? Does anybody from these "High Crime" areas take ANY STEPS AT ALL to help the Police, Politicians, Judges, THEMSELVES, to Clean Up the issues?????

Although the Mayor, Prosecutors are certainly part of the issue. But more importantly the citizens (honest ones) are as much at fault for not getting more involved with the Police and City Officials in addressing the issues and finding solutions. I do know that the TPD is very responsive to citizens calls and reports. Maybe, if the citizens of this and other "High Crime" area's contacted the police with License Numbers, Names, etc all of Tulsa could experience a drop in crime. I know very personally that this works. If you aren't going to be part of the solution then you are part of the problem.

The mayor says "The mayor says he will discuss with his staff and councilors are coming up with a plan within the next year to improve the area. " Really Mr. Mayor? You just proved my case in that if you cared not only would you have done something about this already (26 homicides in this area over two years).....but you would of said you and your crew would have a plan within the month.....not within the year. What a joke, and kid yourself not...you are partly responsible for these deaths.

it really sucks ppl have to die for anyone to pay attention to a problem that's probably been going on since what the late 80's, and just to say, hey with the borders like they are "ai"X-rays at the borders, lines of drug sniffing dogs 30 guys standing around staring at every car ,truck or walk through looking for anything to stop someone for , how you suppose a few no ones get all these drugs through, THEY DONT, some fat cat aristrocat is getting it through and giving it to them , find that guy and solve more problems than just removing access by locking up one or two stupid moes who thinks he da bling ,bling swinging ding ding cause he's got a brand new car, but truth be known , everybody cares as long as it's on the news and as soon as a killer/s is caught it's back to not looking at it and hoping the problem will go away on it's own or scare the stupids enuf they actully vote on a walk thru and kill everyone, you murder these ppl everyday by your lack of concern and calasted attitues

This coming from a mayor who still has his featherback hairdo from the disco days, they'll make a few pre-announced round-ups of gang members, the smart ones will run into the woodwork until the heat is off,the dumb ones will bond out the same day...three weeks it'll be back to status quo just like after the Best Buy murder, the city weeners will pose for the cameras and make a few strong statements to impress the less intelligent...think we need outside help, the National Guard maybe
