A day after FOX23 talked to one man who said a house he won in an auction was demolished, another person said didn't get what he paid for when he bought property from the Tulsa County Auction.

Stan Marshall told FOX23 he only gave $1,100 at the Tulsa County auction for property in North Tulsa.

He borrowed the cash from his mom. It came with everything he wanted: a corner lot and a house. It was a fixer-upper, but he couldn't wait to get to work.

"I'm sick of seeing homes knocked down," said Marshall.

He scoped it out two days before he placed his bid.

"I came back two days later and the City of Tulsa had knocked the house down," said Marshall.

They're charging him for it. Now, he's worried about the tall grass he's inherited.

"I hope they don't charge me for that," said Marshall.

It is similar to a story FOX23 did with Jimmy Williams a day before. He attended the same auction.

"I do not believe this man," said Williams, about Marshall’s story.

Williams said he spent nearly $4,000 on property, and expected to get a house with the deal. He said no one told him the house had been demolished. Williams placed his bid sight unseen.

"To me it's like bait and switch," said Williams.

He got into fixing up homes with his dad, and continued after his father died.

He's been hooked ever since.

"It kind of hurts a little bit," said Marshall.

The County Assessor's Office pointed FOX23 toward the Treasurer's Office.

"I'm not trying to say it's his fault. What I'm trying to say is he shouldn't have relied on our data. We don't do the tax sales," said Pat Milton, Tulsa County Chief of Staff, in the assessor's office.
