Owen Elementary School is off lockdown, after kids reported that someone pointed a gun at them on the playground.
It happened around 11:43a near 1100 N. Vandalia Ave.
The school was on modified lockdown for about an hour while Tulsa police and campus police searched the area. Modified lockdown allows students, faculty and staff to move within the building, but the outside doors remain locked.
Students at the school reported seeing a green or gray vehicle that pulled up to the playground and pointed a gun at them.
There are conflicting reports about the type of vehicle seen - a Cadillac-type car or a van.
Tulsa police remain in the area around the school to search for the vehicle, but tell FOX23 they don't believe there is any threat in the area.
