Tulsa Police say a call led them to the missing vehicle of a recent homicide victim.

TPD says the call directed them to 1500 S. Guthrie where they say the 1998 Ford Explorer had been parked for an extended area of time.  TPD says the Forensic Lab will process it for evidence.

The Homicide Unit is still looking for a man they want to talk to about the murder of Robert Sampson.

Sampson’s body was found in his west Tulsa home on March 14th. Police say someone had tried to clean the crime scene and the body was badly decomposed when it was found.

Police want to talk to Edward John Vanwoudenberg AKA John Vanwoudenberg about his knowledge about the murder and the missing vehicle. Vanwoudenberg is transient and has been seen in West Tulsa and the Oakhurst area.

Police say Vanwoudenberg possibly stays in transient camps along the Arkansas River and has an outstanding municipal misdemeanor warrant.

Police are also still looking for Sampson’s midnight blue 1998 Ford Explorer with Oklahoma tag #972 DYN. has not been seen since his murder was discovered. Police think it may have been missing since late February or early March.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers 918 596 2477 or the Homicide Tip Line 918 798‐8477.
