A car wreck claimed the lives of three people Friday night on Highway 81 in Garfield County.
According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the fatal accident took place a half-mile south of Bison, Okla., at approximately 8:15 p.m.
Officials say a 2013 Hyundai Accent was driving north on Highway 81 when it struck a 2013 Chevrolet Cruze that was driving southbound.
The driver of the Cruze, Antonio Medina, Jr., 23, of Enid, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver and passenger of the Hyundai have not been identified because of the ongoing investigation and their families have not been notified yet, troopers said.
Troopers said Medina and the occupants of the Hyundai were pinned for quite a while before being freed by the Hennessey Fire Department and the Waukomis Fire Department.
All three were pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers are unsure if seat belts were in use in the Accent. Medina was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.
