Tulsa police say the Mingo Valley Traffic Division wrote 83 citations in just an hour and a half!
Police say officers patrolling Memorial between 71st and 81st wrote 63 for red and yellow light violators, 12 for not having insurance, 4 for no driver’s license, 4 no seat belt and 1 for an expired tag. TPD originally reported they wrote 43 tickets for red and yellow violations but updated the numbers Friday morning.
One officer said in many cases the drivers are pulling out into the intersection and turning left when the red light is on or when the arrow turns red and all other lights turn green they are not yielding and turning.
