A Coweta strip club was busted on prostitution charges on Saturday night.
56-year-old Steven Boydston and 27-year-old Catherine Boydston were arrested on prostitution charges and Steven was also arrested on furnishing alcohol to a minor. More charges are expected according to the state’s Alcohol Beverage Laws Enforcement Commission.
ABLE agent Pedro Zardeneta said his agency was called a couple months ago to help District 27’s Drug Task Force Cherokee County deputies investigate the Secret Cavern strip club off Highway 51 and the Muskogee Turnpike.
They also worked with deputies from District 18’s Drug Task Force in Pittsburg County. They teamed up because Cherokee County deputies were too recognizable for the strip club’s owner to identify them. ABLE sent in their agents as clients and after a total of four months they were sent for their operation on Saturday night.
“It was really difficult,” said agent Zardeneta. “They were having a hard time because this guy knew their deputies faces, and he would recognize them from being in the Coweta area. So all these different agencies from different parts of the state worked well together to keep the citizens safe.”
Zardeneta described the inside of the strip club.
“The stage was up front you had to pay so much for the dancer and then you could go in the back where there was a bed and pay to have sex.”
The strip club also had video surveillance that agents are reviewing to decide if more charges are expected.
