Sexual battery suspect arrested at Tulsa walking trail

Tulsa police arrested one man for sexual battery after he allegedly tried to assault a woman on the Mingo Creek trail near Admiral and Mingo on Saturday.

Police say the victim was walking alone along the Mingo Creek Trail just after 11 a.m. when the suspect walked by, looked at the victim and said "You're mine."

Police say the victim backed away and told the suspect to stay away but he came closer, telling her he "wanted her."

According to the arrest report, the victim continued to back away and threw a water bottle at the suspect. She told police he continued to say sexual things to her and grabbed her arm and tried to pull her to him.

Police say the victim broke free from him and ran to safety.

Police located the suspect several blocks away and the victim identified him as the man that tried to attack her. According to the police report the suspect, Denney Casey, had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath, slurred speech and poor balance.

The police report shows Denney Casey was arrested on suspicion of sexual battery and public intoxication.<attribute
