Thats not entirely factual Bubbamax..... The security guard was acting as an authorized agent for the bank, therefore the security guard had every right to attempt to stop the theft of the property, if he was attempting to stop the actual theft of the property and the fleeing "window licker" made a threatening gesture with a firearm by I dunno say pointing it at the security guard, then the guard just like any other citizen has the right to bust his melon and send a letter to his folks to break his plate cause he aint comming for dinner on sunday.... This is the problem, we have been trained to be victims and wait on the angels in blue to save us..... those who think thats the way it works REALLY need to prepare themselves if they are actual victims of a crime.. theres not a lot of saving that will take place... just a whole lot of..... welp, pretty much... "we will call you if we get anything on this" You have every right to protect your property and try to attempt to stop it from being stolen, as does any person you appoint as your agent whether thats a security guard, janitor, secretary, or who ever... And the idiot criminal has every right not to put himself in a position where he has a high likely hood of being shot and killed over a few dollars. So I am just guessing thats why theres no investigative reporting on that... cause theres nothing to say except good job!

why no investigative reporting on how a retired police officer working as a security guard was chasing a robbery suspect and shooting him. The security guard had no authority to use lethal force in a property crime when there was no imminent threat since the thief had left the scene and was not threatening to shoot anyone. The security has no more legal standing than anyone else with a concealed-open carry permit.
