A local teen was arrested three times in three days. This is the line of mug shots from 18-year-old Kyle Austin. They are from Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

In an exclusive interview with FOX23, the teen’s mother says she is defending her son.

FOX23 sifted through three court documents to understand more about this very complex case.
While her son is in jail, Sand Springs resident Mandy Inglett is packing her bags. Her son Kyle Austin was arrested three days in a row.

On Thursday, while supposedly under the influence of alcohol, he allegedly stole a car and was involved in an accident at Charles Page High School. His mother confirmed that for FOX23.

“He stole a car,” she said. “That was stupidity.”

However, the warrant he surrendered to at the Tulsa county jail on Friday, for a June charge of cultivating marijuana, Inglett is bogus.

"I never saw them carry marijuana plants out of this house,” she told FOX23.

Then there's Saturday. Austin was arrested for 1st degree burglary and assault with a deadly weapon.

FOX23 went to the house that he reportedly broke into and uncovered an interesting twist.

Through some digging we found that, a red car in the driveway is the same one reportedly stolen and wrecked on Thursday.

We knew because the license plate matched court documents and the marks left behind from Thursday’s hit and run accident.

Reports say Austin kicked in the door and threatened the man inside with a knife, but his mother stands behind her son and told FOX23, that’s not the case.

“They asked him to come over to their house and apologize face to face to them,” she said.

So she took her son.

“What this man did is try to lure my son over there to get him into more trouble."

FOX23 tried to talk with the homeowner, but no one answered when we knocked.

Austin’s mom bailed him out of jail the first two times, but she says Saturday’s bond of $30,000 was too expensive for her.

He's set to appear in court later this week.

Sand Springs police also found marijuana, pills and a gun on Austin when they arrested him on Thursday.

Mom needs to answer this wake-up call and recognize the reality of the situation. Her son is an adult who will have to deal with the consequences of his actions now.

I agree with all your comments. Doesn't sound like he good parental guidance at all. This doesn't just happen overnight. This kid was obviolsy troubled way before this but the parents are the one who should be teaching this kid right from wrong.

Too many times O have seen "mom's" say "It couldn't have been my son" or "He has problems and he cant be held responsible for his actions". Well, B.S. If he is 18 he is not a teenager he is a man in the eyes of society. He is allowed all of the Rights and Privileges that go with being an Adult with the excepting of Alcohol possession or consumption. He needs to be held accountable for HIS DECISIONS!!!!!

When you carry a gun, steal a car, and threaten a man with a knife after kicking in his house door----you aren't a boy, you are a man. Not a real good one, and one who needs 'away' time as a danger to his community. Mom needs to stand back and let the authorities do what she didn't----give him disciple and a reality check. If she hadn't bailed him out the first or second time, the third and ugliest incident would not have happened.
