Bless you, Rogers County DA. When I first read information regarding Jetta's death I was so impressed with Sheriff Scott Walton and the comment he made about a special place in Hell for the individual responsible. I thought "finally, at last, we are going to put a face and a name to the heinous crime of animal cruelty. And make some long, overdue changes to this horrific crime." However, those hopes we're quickly doused when Walton came forward to say that things were not what they seemed at first. Tell me, Sheriff Walton, how can you come forward with two such extreme versions of one story and believe them both?

Thank you DA Steidley! I don't think any one believes this story of shooting the dog, leaving it in their yard, then after it begins to smell dragging it a mile down the road... Really? I know you can't prosecute with out a witness or without evidence. Someone out there knows what really happened, please call the authorities!

Kudos to the Rogers County DA! There were too many unanswered questions, too many altered stories, for this to have been an open and shut case. I realize that to many people this was "just a dog", but to a few other people this precious dog was a beloved and cherished member of their family. What has become of a society in which such deplorable and heinous acts of violence are committed against the weak and innocent? Our children. Our elderly. Yes, and even our pets
