Police say a man and a woman were beaten and pistol-whipped by robbers early Friday morning near Pittsburg and Admiral in north Tulsa.

It happened around 4 a.m. near Admiral and Pittsburg. Neighbors say the couple ran to a nearby neighborhood for help.

One man said he woke up to the man and woman pounding on the side of his home.

"A naked man and naked woman outside my house beat all to pieces," said Roger Shipley.

They told neighbors they were homeless and sleeping in the car in an alley when two men approached them.

They told Shipley the men threatened them, “they told her they were going to kill her, they had a gun to her head and everything."

The couple said the robbers dragged them out of their 2002 White Chevy Impala and ordered them to take their clothes off before stealing their car.

The man and woman were taken to the hospital by EMSA but police expect them to be okay. Tulsa police are searching for the robbers and the stolen car.
