According to records the trooper smelled alcohol on Roberts and administered two sobriety tests, which Roberts failed. Roberts was taken to the Tulsa County Jail and breath tests showed his blood alcohol level was .11.

Rev. Roberts,I know this is going to bring a lot more flack for you and your family and I am sorry for all the rubbernecks that will have a hayday with this.(I was looking for your sight to ask your ministry to pray for a family member of mine who has a bleeding ulcer and is in the ICU for the second time in a month.)I try not to judge anyone and I didn't stop my search to be a rubberneck but I wanted to tell you that you are in my prayers and my heart goes out to you and you family because of some of your other family news that has been in the spotlight. I just wish you weren't speeding and had one less drink as I don't believe drinking alcohol is a sin since Jesus turned water into wine at the wedding celebration in Cannan. Having a few drinks every now and then is acceptable so please don't feel to horribly bad about the drinking. Like I said, I just wish you had one less drink and weren't speeding.
