Oologah-Talala Emergency Medical Service reports that a one-year-old was rushed to St. Francis Hospital. Paramedics say the little boy was showing symptoms of meningitis, although meningitis has not been confirmed. The child was rushed to St. Francis around 5:30pm Tuesday from Claremore Regional Hospital.
As of 9:45pm Tuesday, a spokeswoman from Claremore Regional says tests are being done to rule out meningitis, and says the case is not yet confirmed.
There have been several cases of bacterial meningitis among children in Oologah-Talala, two cases have been fatal.
