A phone call leads police to a man they say was high and naked running down a Tahlequah street.
Tahlequah police arrested 22-year-old Daniel Kelley.
Officers told FOX23 someone called in about a naked man running through Love's gas station. Police say they found him down the street standing on a curb yelling "acid."
"The drug problems we have, I mean it's what its leading people to do," said Monette Ellis.
She told FOX23 she frequents the gas station. Ellis says it's clear the drugs on these streets are an issue. Police say
Kelley was high on LSD and when they tried to arrest him he got violent and punched an officer before running behind this laundry mat. FOX23 has learned the officer pepper sprayed Kelley but that wasn't enough to slow him down. Ellis said it shows just how strong some of the drugs are once consumed.
"It's stronger than pepper spray that's for sure," she said. "We just need to watch our children and try to teach them the best we can about drugs and the dangers of."
Several officers were able to arrest Kelley but police says even after being handcuffed, he struggled to get loose and screamed at them.
"That guy got lucky he didn't get killed. They could've shot him or he could've run out in front of a car," said Ellis.
Kelley has since bonded out. He faces charges of assault and battery on a peace officer, resisting arrest and outraging public decency.
