Tulsa Police arrest 19-year-old Marquise Edwards after a more than seven hour standoff near 11th and Lewis.
Police were disbatched to the scene at 2:30pm because of a disturbance call.Police say Edwards refused to come out and was armed with a shotgun. He also has three felony warrants against him, one for burglary and another for robbery.
Police evacuated nearby homes and fired pepper balls into the home trying to get Edwards out. They called the landline phone several times trying to make contact with Edwards. Neighbors watched in tears praying the standoff didn't escalate into anything else.
"Please, please, please. God don't let nobody get hurt. Please don't let anyone get hurt," said Rose Mazza.
She kept praying Edwards came out safely.
"Lord Jesus, don't let anyone get hurt. Please!" she said.
FOX23 learned just before ten Tuesday night Tulsa Police Special Ops squad went into the home and found Edwards in the attic. He faces additional charges of resisting arrest.
