Tillman Ellis spent the final minutes of life in his wife's arms.

"Going forward, he'll only be in my heart," said Demetra Ellis. "I still feel like married."

Ellis died seven days after a motorcycle accident along Highway 20 and Southaven Road dislocated his hip. Both Tillman and Demetra Ellis were on the motorcycle when they hit a car head-on. The collision threw the couple about 20 feet.

Lt. Steve Cox said the driver of a white car made a sudden turn at a green light. Ellis swerved and missed that car but hit the car behind it. They were less than 10 minutes away from home when the accident occurred.

"All the witnesses couldn't believe the (white) car sat through a green light, and quickly made a turn," said Lt. Steve Cox.

"Initially, I didn't know if he'd walk," said Demetra Ellis. A blood clot traveled from Tillman's hip, to his lungs, then his heart.

In his final minutes, Demetra Ellis said Tillman felt faint, so he raised hishands and called on the Lord. He was 46.

"Hopefully a witness will come forward," said Ellis. "I would like an apology."

Claremore police are asking anyone with information on this accident to come forward.

I have lived in Claremore for 6 years before moving to Broken Arrow. The number one thing I hate when I go back to Claremore are the horrible drivers that are there. I honestly believe that Claremore should focus on ticketing these bad drivers, instead of wasting their time on large operation stings that only result in busting people with dime bags! Hate driving to see me Grandma out of fear I will get into a car wreck. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IawzQ8U6GgQ

God bless and God rest. Final unction to a man who appears to be deserving of so much more. Widow Ellis God bless you and protect you. As you know you will not be alone, for HE is with you as you cross this desolate land :-)
