Serial pill robbers have been hitting South Tulsa pharmacies hard for past two months.

Monday police told FOX23 that in the last 24 hours they have struck again.

FOX23 has been following this story since Christmas day.

Monday our FOX23 team went to the Walgreens most recently hit by the robbers, near 51st and Sheridan, to explain what similarities police are seeing.

Police say every time the robbers have hit so far it's been at a Walgreens store.

And they say the thieves never cause a scene, but they always get what they came for.

Robbers on the prowl for pills have gone from 91st and Sheridan, to 101st and Yale and then to 81st and Yale.

FOX23 has been following the story each time.

And now police say the serial pill robbers are at it again.

In fact, officers say the thieves hit twice Sunday night, with a robbery at the 51st and Sheridan store, then again at the Walgreens on 91st and Sheridan.

Every time we ask police what happened we get the same answer

"Walked into the pharmacy, implied she had a weapon and demanded narcotics," said Tulsa Police Capt. Rick Helberg.

"Gave them a note saying she had a gun and demanded pills," Helberg repeated after the next robbery.

Police now believe a man and woman are involved, even though they have never gone into a store at the same time.

And police tell FOX23 the video of the two has them certain all the robberies are connected.

FOX23 has called the Walgreens corporate office several times in the last week to get a comment on the situation but we have never heard back.

Police say the thieves always have their faces covered, utilizing hoodies, scarves and surgical masks.

And with a simple slip of a paper, in matter of minutes the thief is gone.

We talked with the mother of an employee at a South Tulsa Walgreens store.

"Really scared. Especially since my daughter works at Walgreens. I don't like it at all.

Don't like it at all. Very frightening," said Dawn West.

She is concerned even though her daughter, Haley West, wasn't at work when the robbery happened.

"They tried to get me to work but it was my day off," said Haley West.

Police tell FOX23 in less than a month two people have robbed South Tulsa Walgreens stores five times.

And they say it always happens the same way.

No one has been hurt yet but that doesn't make the West's feel any better.

"They could do it at any time. You never know, you never know," said Dawn West.

And it infuriates Haley West that thieves targeted her store.

"Everybody in there is so kind, and so sweet and so generous," said.

Haley West. "There's too many bad people out there. Like. It's just insane."

And these two hope the thieves are behind bars soon.

"I hope they get caught because they don't need to go around doing that to people."

On the other hand, QT is using facial recognition surveillance and even has a special beer theft task force set up by the sheriff, so...

If the bean counters at Walgreen aren't smart enough to realize this is hugely detrimental to their business, they should be canned. Arm the pharmacists and put down the scum next time they try it. Saying you have a gun is the same as showing one in the legal description of armed robbery...I doubt these animals are bright enough to know that, thogh.
