Owasso police said a man allegedly taking photos of children as they walked home from school doesn’t appear to have committed a crime.

Police said it happened in the 11900 block of East 77th Street North on Thursday. Police made contact with the children involved, their parents and the man in question. Police say the man is a registered sex offender.

Police are investigating the incident but say at this time there does not appear to be a violation of state law. The school sent letters to parents about the incident.

Police congratulated the children for their quickness in reporting the incident so police could contact the man. Police said this is a reminder that children should stay alert, leave an area where they feel threatened, and immediately report their concerns.

I think he should've went back to jail or prison because he was targeting those kids it was a matter of time that could've tried anything else.

This must be a police handout, because it's full of holes. Could he have photographed kids vandalizing his property? If they know he's an offender could they have been taunting him? What exactly did the photos show? So many questions to ask that weren't.
