Okmulgee girl treated for dog bite

The dog was german shepard and wolf looking. My daughter played with little girl 6 months ago. the girls dog was in heat and the same dog would not leave. I tried to scare dog off and he just growled at me.but i picked up a ballbat or he was going to come at me.then they got the dog in heat in houseand he left. the dog was in heat again when this happened and girls was putting her dog up.sad for little girl

The article doesnt say what kind of dog it was. It could have been any kind of dog. I agree if it would have been a pit bulls the news would have blown it up! My mail man wont deliver my mail if my little "rat terrier" is lose in my chain linked yard, I have to keep him on a chain in the back yard because if my dog comes to the fence and barks at him, he wont leave my mail in the mail box that is outside the fence. (go figure he’s a mail man) I have raised pit bulls in the past and absolutely love them. There a great breed of dog, that is lovable, protective, and trustworthy. I have found them to be calm tempered as any dog. I do not have one now and have not for years because of "ignorant hateful stereo tying people" who hate things just because of a few bad one. GET EDUCATED there not evil, but are subject to abuse like anything else. Saying pit bulls are bad is like saying guns are bad, again GET EDUCATED, it is not the animals it’s the people who make them bad. In addition, my dogs NEVER learned or was trained to lock, and everyone I had, I never seen them do it, ever! Mind you, I trusted the ones I raised and trained from pups, that does not mean I would trust any dog that I did not raise. I personally believe that if you have a dog, any dog, in the city or not, it needs to be fenced and not running loss. I also believe that one should make ever caution to lock their fence gates. Make it to were your gate can not be opened by a child, like locking it with a two dollar latch, so little fingers cannot open from either direction. Really...why the hell does anyone want a pitbull?Do they have these stupid hip hop hounds to make up for what they lack in manhood?If they are such a kind dog why do you see them chained up all over town with the bad dog sign on the fence?

If it had been a pittie, the headline would have said "Dangerous Pit Bull viciously attacks and maims helpless little girl". Any other dog it's just "girl treated for dog bite".

Waiting for the flood of comments blaming the little girl...people with these dangerous dogs need to be made to pay a 1000 dollar fee to have them or face 6 months in jail and need to have insurance to pay for damages
