Oklahoma inmate wants state to pay for sex change

An Oklahoma inmate who wants a sex change operation is suing the Oklahoma Department of Corrections.
The inmate says he has gender identity disorder and wants the department to pay ofr the sex change, laser hair removal and hormones.
The prison system does provide hormone treatments when medically appropriate, only two inmates currently qualify for the treatment. One inmate is treated for $158.73 monthly, another for $3.73 per month.
