OHP releases arrest stats from weekend patrol efforts

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol participated in Operation CARE, (Combined Accident Reduction Effort) from 8 a.m. on Wednesday, November 27th until Sunday, December 1st at 11:59 PM.

OHP released the following statewide traffic statistics which covered the CARE holiday period:

Fatality crashes: 7
Fatalities: 9
Unrestrained fatalities: 2
Alcohol related crashes: 18
Total collisions: 141
DUI arrests: 67
Speed citations: 1089
Seat belt citations: 976
Child restraint citations: 26
Motorist assists: 601

These numbers represent all activity reported from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol only.

Meanwhile, Tulsa's "More Cops, More Stops" didnt go so well and was way under quota. I imagine TPD, TCSO and ABLE spent most of the time fighting among each other. They were arresting passengers of designated drivers at one point, but rumor is they were trying to put pressure on a nearby business.
