A murder suspect, accused of shooting and killing a man while in his garage, is sitting in the Tulsa County Jail Friday night.

Muskogee police helped Tulsa police arrest Jordan Mitchell on Friday.
After his arrest, both departments teamed up and served a search a warrant on Mitchell's house.

FOX23 digs into the story to find out more and explain why Mitchell may now be facing charges there as well.

We've learned Tulsa police were in Muskogee looking for Mitchell. Once Tulsa officers found him, they called Muskogee police to help them make the arrest but they say once the police lights went on, he fled. Officers tell FOX23 eluding is just one of the charges he could face in Muskogee.

After a quick chase by Muskogee police and Tulsa police, Mitchell was arrested. Police say while fleeing from them he pulled into a gas
station and "was basically blocked in there by traffic unable to exit."
Right before officers went to arrest Mitchell, police tell us, he disposed of something.

Officers tell FOX23 he went over to a trash can and threw away what they believe is marijuana.

After his arrest, FOX23 cameras were rolling as both departments teamed up to serve a search warrant where police say Mitchell lives.
"We went in there with our special operations team, cleared the house."

Then we saw the Tulsa police investigators take over and search inside.

FOX23 was at the scene back in September, when Christian Dehart was shot and killed inside his house near 71st and Memorial in Tulsa. Two of Dehart's roommates were also shot. Police say they believe Mitchell and his accomplices were going to rob the men at the house.

Muskogee police say anything illegal Mitchell did in Muskogee during his arrest Friday he could face charges for.

"Potentially he could face eluding charges and possession of marijuana charges in Muskogee."

Tulsa police say they do expect to make other arrests in this case.

Mitchell was booked into the Tulsa County Jail on charges of first-degree murder, armed robbery and two counts of shooting with intent to kill.
