Right now, Locust Grove students are out of school on Fall Break, but much of this town is still talking about something that happened inside a weight room last week.

The district says during school hours, football players were involved in a “bullying/hazing incident,” but many in the community believe what happened is worse than that.

“It is a small town, so word spreads and the wrong things spread,” Locust Grove Superintendent David Cash told FOX23.

A number of people in Locust Grove called FOX23, and in response, we asked Cash about what people have heard happened during the alleged hazing.

FOX23 asked if there were any restraints placed on victims such as duct tape or saran wrap, and Cash answered, “No.”

FOX23 asked was the incident that happened a week ago today, was it sexual in nature at all, and asked told us, “No.”

Cash could not confirm or deny that genitalia was exposed or used by the perpetrators during the hazing incident.

The Locust Grove Police Department says they are wrapping up their investigation into this hazing incident, they do not believe at this that anything criminal happened but they do believe it was violation of school policy.

“I can't really go into the details of the incident because of the privacy of the students,” Cash said.

People in the community are also wondering why no one was apparently watching the students, when it all happened.

“That is something we're looking into, yes,” Cash said.

Some in the community suspect a cover up, and They believe that what happened in the weight room was much worse than what's been reported.

“I've heard that same rumor, and that is absolutely not true. It would have to involve a conspiracy of monumental proportions,” Cash said.

That sentiment is echoed by school board president Rick Condit.

“There's no cover up, and the only reason that it looks like a cover up because of the nature of the subject,” he said.

The School Board is planning a special meeting for Monday; at that time the district will talk about the incident as well as hear statements from the community. It begins at 6:30 p.m. at Early Childhood Education Center.

Of course Locust Grove is covering this incident up. The students are afraid to speak up but who can blame them with these kind of AUTHORITY FIGURES. Who do the kids turn to when it's been made clear to them that they are not not going to be protected by the school system or the police. On one of the reports I heard the the reporter say some chalked to "Boys will be boys." REALLY!! Goes to show the mindset around there. When is this behavior ever okay. Nothing sexual about any of it. If any of these OUTSTANDING CITIZENS or families were on the receiving end I'll bet the outcome wouldn't be "Boys will be boys".

It was in a sexual offence. For crying out loud they had penises shoved in their face. Not only should the ones doing be expelled they should be in jail!! the coach and David Cash should loose their jobs and have child neglect charges slapped on them. The reason the school will not tell the punishment is because it was not fair 2 were suspended till march and 1 for 3 DAYS!!! This is no way to run a school! Our children should be safe there and they turned their back on them!

This is a out rage, and I'm telling you stand back and watch, cover this up Locust Grove and let stuff like this continue and you are going to find that one day you will let it happen to the wrong person and the parents will stand up for their children and take action them self!! This could turn real ugly!! And really Locust Grove find someone else to investigate it besides the Locust Grove Police chief, of course he don't see anything wrong with it he has pictures of the high school girls on his phone!! what is happening to that town?? Why has the men and women of this town not stood up and demanded something done, I know if I still lived there I would be either taking action or finding a bother place to live and making sure my tax dollars was going to my child's education not to a coward trying to keep his job and his fat pay check!!

Wow.. Coach Paterno keeps his job at Locust Grove...no surprise there considering the administration at LG..Cash is responsible to protect all his students not hide the info of the guilty..his day of reckoning will come..hey, give them credit though at Locust Grove for being much better at hiding their sexual assaults than the local Christian schools around Tulsa.

This is not the only incident with this coach, he has encouraged and condoned these young men to bully and belittle our high school cheerleaders. He was made aware of all incidents and did NOTHING to stop it. It has gone as far as one player calling the girls bi**ches at an FCA breakfast, telling them to shut the f**k up and to get the hell out of the way on the sidelines at away games, and even name calling in the hallways at school. He was told EXACTLY who was doing his (some are the same ones involved in the NEW "incident")Yet, instead of punishing those few, he instructed the whole football team that they were NOT ALLOWED to speak to any cheerleader in or out of school!!! This itself speaks of his character and morals!!! Who encourages teenage boys to bully girls???

If you can't deny the fact that genitalia was exposed or used by perpetrators then you can't deny the fact that the incident was sexual in nature. Superintendent David Cash's own words could be used as proof of his intent to reduce the severity of punishment for the criminals who are responsible. I just hope that when all of the victims do come forward they take down every person involved in this "conspiracy of monumental proportions." which, in reality, would just be the actions of a few weak men.

What I heard happened is just down right wrong and could result In some kinda sexual charge and a law suit you just dont go putting your scrotom or male genitelia in someone's face while there defense less and wrapped up like a mummy in trainers tape if I was the family's I'd contact every news station I could and let the real story out the media and the superintendent are trying to church it up

Of course Cash is going to protect the community, mainly the football program.Thats his job and he gets paid dearly for it - like $150,000 a year!I am not surprised the school board doesnt seem too concerned either. Talk to the parents---they have an idea of whats been going on with the players--7th grade on up.Apparently the administrators dont!
