A man is in the hospital after police say he was wounded in a shootout at a north Tulsa apartment complex late Sunday night.

It happened around 11:45pm at the Town Square Apartments near Apache & Peoria.

Officers say the victim got into a shootout with at least one other person, and was hit in the legs. He managed to get back to his apartment, and was eventually taken to St. John Medical Center. Police say he is expected to be okay.

Officers say they found several different types of shell casings at the scene, along with a gun in the victim's apartment.

So far no suspect information has been released.

Maybe, just maybe, if these gun toting criminals took a target shooting course we could reduce their numbers.

I thought that all Tulsa Housing Authority property were a gun free zones. Imagine that, there are people that do not follow the rules. Maybe all the other locations throughout Tulsa with "No Guns" signs will have better luck with criminals obeying the rules.
