On Saturday, the Little Light House will celebrate 40 years working to improve the quality of life for children with special needs
Organizers are planning their biggest event of the year, Mini-Laps on Saturday at 10:00 AM at the Little Light House to raise money for the organization. The fundraising goal for the event is $325,000, and a donor has decided to match the last $65,000 in donations to help encourage the Tulsa Community to give to this event.
At Mini-Laps each student will take a celebratory lap around a small track in their wheelchairs, walkers, or their own two feet. This event celebrates the accomplishments of each child by showing how far they have come in learning to walk during their time at the Little Light House, in spite of their disabilities.
Following the walk there will be a carnival sponsored by Avis Budget Group for the families and spectators to enjoy lunch and celebrate the Little Light House’s 40th birthday.
Donations to count towards the matching gift will be received through Saturday online at
www.littlelighthouse.org. Mini-Laps is open to the community and The Little Light House hopes to have a big crowd cheering each child on.
