Many changes at the Tulsa State Fair including more rides in Kiddie Land.

However, one family is upset their daughter can't enjoy the Midway.

"She hasn't been able to ride anything -- not even the merry-go-round,” said Justin Charles.

He and his wife, Leigha, drove their 2-year-old daughter Jayme from Claremore to the fair.

The Charles' spent $20 on tickets for Jayme but they can’t use them.
"They don't tell you when you are up there buying tickets, that you have to be 36 inches (tall),” said Leigha Charles.

Their toddler is about 2-inches shorter than the limit.

"This area right here, Kiddie Land right? And you can't even put a kid on a ride, and that's not exactly kid-friendly to me," said the father.

FOX23 News checked with the ride contractors who said the height limit is 36 inches for safety issues and no one under that height can get on a ride -- not even with an adult.

"I asked if there was anything under 36 and she said no," said Charles.

Jeff Lamb was on the Midway holding his 1-year-old daughter while his other child rode a ride. He knows his daughter Adalynn wasn't big enough but he thought he could go on a ride with her in seat.

"It's kind of one of those you wish your whole family could get on the ride," said Lamb.

There is a ride list available at the ticket booth. It gives a list of rides and how tall you have to be to ride the ride and if an adult is required.

Maybe they should've checked the fair's website before going to the fair. It clearly says how tall you have to be to ride each ride.
