Last week, FOX23 reported about a Michigan man arrested, accused of driving to Oklahoma to have sex with a teen.
FOX23 has now learned the adoptive mother of the teen could also face charges.
FOX23’s Dontaye Carter read the five page affidavit and found allegations the teen’s mother knew about the relationship and paid for Christopher Adams to come to Oklahoma.
The report details the month long investigation of 27-year-old Christopher Adams. He is accused of driving from Michigan to Oklahoma to see a
13-year-old at least five times.
Investigators found out about Adams after park rangers spotted him with the teen at Sequoyah State Park in March.
"It's tough. We deal with it a lot especially when you have kids," say investigators.
Adams was arrested last week. Investigators say the teen and Adams came clean about their relationship and shortly after investigators say so did her adopted mother.
The affidavit says the woman admitted she gave Adams $150 for gas and paid for his motel rooms.
FOX23 went to the woman's home, but no one answered. Investigators collected evidence from the cabin and the motel room where Adams was staying. It has been turned over to the OSBI for analysis.
Investigators tell FOX23 charges will be filed against the mother later this week, they say she’ll most likely face child abuse charges.
