I-244 off ramp open after morning crash

ODOT says I-244 and US-64/US-412 ramps to Tisdale Parkway ramp are now open.

The I-244 and US-64/US-412 ramps to Tisdale Parkway were closed due to accident. A semi-truck overturned and spilled thousands of gallons of crude oil onto the highway.

The eastbound I-244 off-ramp to the northbound Tisdale Parkway is narrowed thru Friday as crews continue cleanup work. Drivers should expect delays and should consider avoiding the area and locating an alternate route.

I was late to work because of the traffic backup from this. I saw the whole scene and was able to snap a short video of it. Basically, from what I can tell, the trucker took the turn too fast and flipped on it's side and spilled oil everywhere, big oil puddles even made it onto the I-244 East section just after that exit to Tisdale, so the 244 was closed down to 1 lane for cleanup.
