In observance of the New Year's holiday, there will be no residential refuse, recycling, yard waste or bulky waste collection on Tuesday, January 1.

For customers with once-a-week collection services:

• There will be no change in service for once-a-week Monday customers.

• Tuesday customers will be collected on Wednesday; Wednesday customers will be collected on Thursday; Thursday customers will be collected on Friday and Friday customers will be collected on Saturday.

Those customers with twice-a-week service will experience the following changes in service:

• Monday and Thursday customers will be collected on Monday and Friday.

• Tuesday and Friday customers will be collected on Wednesday and Saturday.

• Wednesday and Saturday customers will be collected on Thursday and Saturday.

On the broadcast just now, they said that gift wrap, gift bags, bows, ribbons, cards, etc. can't be recycled. But us teachers love to use this stuff. So, if you have any of these items take it to your local elementary school art teacher. Btw, I'm at McKinley Elementary. ;-)

Back in the good ole days sanitation engineer seemed kinda snooty for some guy swinging off the back of a garbage truck. These guys sound more like a four count pushup. Im spoiled I just use a dumPster. It's trash friendly, just like paleman the newsbot.
