Tulsa is taking part in the national “Hiring Our Heroes" event on Tuesday.
The free, one-of-a-kind hiring event is a part of an effort to put veterans to work. It is being held at Central Park Hall at the Expo Square Fairgrounds from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Tulsa's "Hiring Our Heroes" job fair aims at connecting job-ready returning veterans and their spouses to Tulsa area companies who are looking for talent.
"With thousands of military service members and their families in the Tulsa area, we know it's important to connect them with Tulsa area companies who are growing and looking for talent right now. We're excited to work with the US Chamber and all of our other great local partners to bring this event to Tulsa," said Denise Reid, Director of Talent Strategies for the Tulsa Metro Chamber of Commerce.
This hiring event is being conducted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Tulsa Metro Chamber, Broken Arrow Chamber, Broken Arrow Economic Development Corporation, Workforce Tulsa, and the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission.
