The lawyer for a Green Country dentist being investigated for possibly exposing thousands of patients to HIV, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C released a statement about the investigation.

James K. Secrest, II sent the following statement to the FOX23 Newsroom on Wednesday morning:

For almost 35 years, Dr. Harrington has provided Oklahomans with dedicated oral surgical care. His previous record with the dental board is impeccable. He is taking the recent allegations very seriously and is fully cooperating with the Oklahoma Dental Board. At this time, out of respect for his patients and the sensitivity of the issues, Dr. Harrington will make no further comment on this matter.

The Tulsa Health Department is encouraging Harrington's patients and former patients to get free tests for HIV, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C.  Free testing is available at the Tulsa Health Department location at 56th Street North and MLK, Blvd.

Patients can also call a special hotline with questions: 918-595-4500. The hotline is open from 7-7 on weekdays.

I think that Dr Harrington & all of his staff should be held accountable. I believe they should all lose their licenses and Certification. They were trained & they all knew the proper procedures yet they all disregarded them & risked the lives of innocent people. For what to save a few bucks or spare a few more minutes to gossip & be lazy. Shame!!!!!!! You will never full understand the emotional, mental, & physical damage you all have caused not only the patients but their friends and families. There is no talking your way out of this you should have been ethical & called in the office for improper practice.
