Wendy you are right about parents taking more responsibility for their children. It prompts me to say HOMESCHOOL #8•} so your kids won't turn out like the individual commenteing below me.

This a Columbine waiting to happen, daily basis now,the liberal approach to education and discipline is a gross failure and this school is a fine example

I agree with Wendy! Parents need to get control of these kids! My daugter (17) has many friends that their parents hardly even know or care where there even are.. (these friends are still high school age) She said that some of her friend's parents are using meth and other drugs and dont really care about much of anything. It is so disturbing! Too many people have just given up on their families. On the other hand there are also many families that are making a difference and stepping up to make things better. We only hear about the bad ones.. but trust me, there are those that have made great progress. My husband and I attend LifeChurch and my husband has joined a group called Band of Brothers.. its a group of men of all ages and in all situations that make themselves available to help families with any need. They have vowed to be strong leaders for their family and others. Its been so great to see the change not only in our home but the ones that they help. There are about 150 men in this group and that is a lot of families getting stronger and better everyday. Dont give up hope! :) Take your family back and be a parent, a husband and a wife :)

Hale high, was not this bad, last yr or for the last 3yrs My daughter has attended hale for the last 3yrs and she's n dance and She's also n college preparation classes, she is not a thug or a bad kid,by any means..however since, All the kids ,have transferred to Hale ,this has been an on going thing, the principal at Hale, will put the school on lock down, daily if need to, to protect the students. Even,if there's a rumor, going around. Now I do agree there is alot of wanna b thugs, that attend Hale !and I also agree, some of, the teachers are not that great, but I do know ,that alot of kids there, are very very disrespectful, towards the teachers and have no respect what so ever... and alot of this behavior, starts with, the parents..... They're to blame... if they knew better, maybe they would do better, last but not least, I know several, great kids there, and they are sick of this....and this is making a bad name, for the good kids, that attend Hale......and also there's stuff that goes on everywhere... I mean look at the teacher n clamore that messed w an under age boy n bartlesville being on lock down? And now some other school, n a litle town here n OK... Oh not, to mention the sexual abuse ,that went on in God's house with a bunch of none Thugs.... they're supposed to b Godly....and they hid the abuse.... there is bad all over...

In some ways I agree with numero...but then again I have to say there have always been thugs and there have always been kids afraid to go to school EVERYWHERE since schools began it is how society is and depending upon the times as to what is going on when I was in high school there were drive by shootings at lunch people got knives pointed at them and on occasion used on them in the bathrooms just for walking in at the wrong time ...AGAIN as I have been saying for ages this all falls back to the parents ....NOT just the teachers....if people would stop being so damned lazy and expect everyone else to raise their kids things would be a lot different but instead they want to blame everyone who is not responsible for teaching these kids values , family love, respect for themselves especially as well as for others ....I wont hide behind a blank picture or a false name people can say what they want about me I don't care ......and I know the ones who will choose to ridicule me and argue are the ones most guilty ...this only shows that I made my point and they realize I'm talking about them!!! WAKE UP AND RAISE YOUR KIDS !!!!

This is a school with a bunch of thugs that have taken over Hale High School. The school staff needs to get these misfits under control and fast before something bad really happens! This does not surprise me in the least bit. I know numerous kids that live in my apt complex that attend that school and they miss school as much as possible because they don't feel safe or cared about by the teachers and other staff members...which is so sad and that means the school and staff are failing our children in a horrible way. I absolutely REFUSE to send my children to TPS due to the nearly daily threats and gang violence in the public schools. I refuse to accept that this will be the new normal in public schools. We need to honor our promises to our children to protect them, cherish them and educate them to the best of our abilities. Send those juvenile misfits to the Youth Detention Center and hold them accountable for their actions or they will continue to cause these kinds of problems in the future.
