A local gun advocate was offended when he went to dinner with his concealed gun and realized he would not be allowed to come inside with his weapon.

‘I was offended because I have a concealed carry license so the government trusts me to have a gun but Louie’s Grill and Bar does not?” questioned Joe Beene. “So I thought what other businesses am I not allowed to enter anymore?”

He and his friends created a new website.  It is launching this week. It’s called “Knowbeforeyougo.us” and it’s designed to list businesses that are not gun friendly establishments.

“My friend texted me a few days after that and said Buffalo Wild Wings is not allowing guns inside either, and I was like, no that’s another one of my favorite places here,” said Beene.

FOX23 spoke with Buffalo Wild Wings in Tulsa Hills shopping area.  The manager said the corporate owner will make a decision this week that could allow guns inside the front half of the restaurants, which is the side with a higher food to alcohol ratio.  However, the bar side in the back he believes they will keep guns out because there is more alcohol than food consumed back there and it is safer that way, according to the manager.

Beene agrees to disagree with that thought about safety.

“I feel safer when I have my gun on me,” said Beene.  “I feel vulnerable and uncomfortable when I cannot protect myself.”

The website needs people to call in about businesses that are banning guns.  Beene said if a business changes its policy Beene will remove it from his site.

pen, I have to agree with Bobber. You are only here to argue. And BTW, Just because you have a collection of Air Soft Rifles and Daisy BB guns, this does not make you a gun owner.

i know what it takes. i see the classes every weekend at the range. couple hours in a room and a less then half a day range time. at the time you enter the establishment you can be asked to leave and would be considered trespassing if they chose to press it. just because you were raised around guns doesnt mean you are trained how to properly use a gun. I go to the range every weekend. your training means your part of the few not the majority. while your at the range how often do you notice you have been swept by a muzzle be it loaded or unloaded? and of those times how many of those were from experienced shooters? because you might fire your weapon to protect yourself you put ME at risk. i dont know you from adam. and just because you were in the military again means nothing to me as i know many who have been combat trained. IE boot camp and the every so often romp in the woods.

Being built like a sasquatch I never felt the need to carry a gun until a few years ago with the booming explosion of the population of meth zombies, even the little ones don't have any sense and their bullets kill the same as big zombies do

Re: pen25, Your need to work on your reading and comprehension skills. "I know that any round I fire will have 50 lawyers and a District Attorney attached to it so I won't be firing any rounds to protect YOU no matter the situation."

Re: oen25 I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that you are not a SDA license holder. If you were then you would be more aware of what is involved in getting a SDA license. No, I do not feel that rights are trampled on simply because someone places a "No Gun" sign on their door to their business. As long as it is not a place that covered under the mandatory preclusion zone I simply ignore them when I am carrying concealed. A business is not liable for anyone that uses a firearm to defend them self inside their establishment. As for your lack of knowledge about carrying into places where alcohol is served, proves that you need to at least read the manual for Oklahoma SDA. As for my firearms training, I have had formal training from the day I was 5. I was raised in a family that has a strong military and hunting background. I was formally trained in the Air Force and served in an Air Force Combat unit for 8 years so I do know what end the bullets come out of a gun. I have also taken formal weapons training as a civilian. I also go to the gun range and practice at least 6 times a year. Hopefully next time before you post you will have taken the time to have at least read the Oklahoma SDA manual.

as a gun owner i have to be honest. i dont feel safe around people who feel unsafe without having a gun. it is your right to not give a business your money because you feel your rights are trampled on. im all for it. but it is the right of the owner of the establishment to allow or not allow a cc on premise. many who cc have no clue about their weapon other then how to maybe put the mag in and chamber a round. remember the business would be held liable if someone was shot by someone who is cc and used it to defend himself cause someone jumped the line. and he honestly disagree's with baring firearms in the bar area? cant go to a bar with your fire arm. and a business that sales more alcohol then food is a bar not a bar and grill. and bob white. what training do you have? LEO? Military? and if military what was your MOS? because lord knows i dont want some electrician who served 20 years and only used a firearm while in boot camp. I also dont want you protecting me if you havent stress trained with the ability to be able to police your backstop.

What these liberal anti-gun nuts don't realize is when the 2nd amendment goes the rest of the amendments go with it.This amendment was written for a reason and not for target practice or hunting if you get my drift...our forefathers invisioned this day that we are going through now and for this reason it was written. How fortuitous for Obama and his liberals that the Batman nut and the little creep from Connecticut did their dastardly deeds...Manchurian Candidates?

cptspacecase, I can only feel pity for you and I hope that the thugs that may rob you some day will do the same. I know that any round I fire will have 50 lawyers and a District Attorney attached to it so I won't be firing any rounds to protect YOU no matter the situation. The Police will investigate your murder/rape/assault but they can not prevent it - you are responsible for your own protection until they arrive. The choice is clear, you can believe the government (Police) will protect you or, you can commit the time and money necessary to become proficient with your weapon of choice.
