Graffiti vandals take what they want and leave what they want. Graffiti vandals have no respect for our civic infrastructure. They view monuments, highway signs and walls, fixtures in the right-of-way as well as your private property as their personal billboard. Graffiti experts can't stop graffiti because they view graffiti as the problem when it is a symptom of attitudes that see graffiti as fun, harmless and an improvement to the visual environment. Foster different attitudes among kids, values that see graffiti as harmful to the community as well as to the graffiti writer, and we will prevent the next crop of graffiti writers from being so large. As noted at www.DefacingAmerica.com , crimes of graffiti vandalism cost Americans $20 billion a year. We can do more to prevent graffiti vandalism.
