A tip from an informant lead Glenpool police to a man they say tried to grow marijuana in an infant’s bedroom.
Police arrested Rayshawn Crawford on Wednesday for possession of marijuana, paraphernalia and hydrocodone. Crawford is also charged with cultivation of marijuana in presence of a minor and possession of marijuana within 1000 feet of a school.
Police say they were serving a search warrant on his home and used a ram to get into Crawford’s Glenpool home around 8 am on the 25th of February. The arrest report shows Crawford was in the home with a woman and an infant child.
Police say they found marijuana on the coffee table while talking to Crawford. According to the arrest report Crawford was not surprised by the police, “I knew you (expletive) were coming for the last week, and that’s all petty (expletive). I ain’t got nothing else.”
After Crawford was taken to the police department a search of the home found marijuana shakes and seeds in every room and start plants and hydroponic growing equipment and directions in the back bedroom of the house, where they baby slept.
The woman in the home told police she thought Crawford was growing tomatoes and flowers, but she had been in and out of the home over the last three weeks. She also told police three teens had been cleaning the home while she was pregnant. Police are investigating the possibility Crawford was selling drugs to teens.
Crawford’s home was 485 feet from a Head Start School.
