A man who claimed several Tulsa Police officers attacked him during an arrest over the weekend was found dead in his Norman apartment Wednesday.

Keith Kimmel gained statewide attention in February for filing a lawsuit against the Oklahoma Tax Commission for not granting his application for an "IM GAY" license plate.

According to TPD, Kimmel got into a fight at the End Up Bar, located in the 5300 block of East Admiral, early Saturday morning.

Upon refusing to leave the bar, he was thrown out by employees and officers took over.

In a formal complaint posted to Kimmel's blog he claimed that while being placed under arrest, officers "dragged me around the parking lot on my stomach, first by trying to shove me into a patrol car.  They hit my head on the door frame several times and when I was too tall to fit into the car, they attempted to stuff me in regardless."

Tune in to FOX23 News at 5, for a response from the Tulsa Police Department regarding Kimmel's formal complaint.

Lyndsay, your headline implies there is a connection between the man blogging about this alleged beating and his death. You are trying to make people think TPD officers are somehow responsible for the man being killed. I think you need to be very, very careful, or you're going to wind up needing your own attorney.
