Throwing the football around outside with family and friends is what Amanda Bledsaw calls a good day, but that wasn't the case just a few days ago.

She filled her car with the last $30 she had and then went home.

The next morning she went to the store and another customer told her that her car was leaking gas.

"So we had to call the fire department, and hazmat came out and dried it up and plugged my gas tank just long enough to get it home," said Bledsaw.

She says she drove her car home and her brother had to fix it, but it was the way her car was damaged that surprised her.

Bledsaw tells FOX23 the criminal didn't go through the gas cap, they went underneath her car and used a screwdriver to stab the gas tank.

"They stabbed it at least six times. They didn't get it through the first few times and then one good time they got it through," Bledsaw said.

Bledsaw's husband was shocked.

"I couldn't believe it, because we just moved in here not too long ago," Michael Corbitt said.

He says he needs his car to support his family.

"It put me in a real bad situation because my son has a lot of health problems," said Corbitt.

Quick efficient patch is two part epoxy. Once mixed it will harden under gas and stay that way #8 ^]]
