Flu blamed for three more deaths in Oklahoma

State health officials say three more people have died from the flu in Okklahoma last week. 

One of those deaths is in Tulsa County. Deaths were also reported in Washington and Cotton counties.

The Oklahoma State Department of Health reported the new deaths on Thursday. The agency says a total of 33 people have died in Oklahoma so far this flu season.  There have been eight flu related deaths in Tulsa County. 

The health department says those 65 and older have been hit hardest by the flu. 

The state has reported a total of 1036 flu-related hospitalizations this season, 295 of those are in Tulsa county.
