A Florida mother is upset her son made the honor roll because he had a C and D grades.

Beth Tillack said when she first saw her son's report card she thought Pasco Middle School had made a mistake. Her son's report card had a "C" and "D" letter grade.

However, his teacher wrote a note saying "good job," drew a smiley face, and wrote that he had made the honor roll.

"The bottom line is there is nothing honorable about making a D. I was not happy, because how can I get my child to study for a test when he thinks he's done enough," said Tillack.

The school's principal said the district's honor roll is based on a point system, which means students who get A's can earn enough points to offset an F to make the honor roll.

But, the school district is now considering changing that policy.

I would assume they need to revise this policy as they are setting up the students for false expectations.
