Five Year Old Hit By Car

(TULSA, Ok.) July 3 - Police say a five year-old autistic boy was hit by a car around 5:00 P.M. Friday. This happened near the intersection of 41st & Yale.

Tulsa police say the boy wondered away from home. A witness says she tried to save the boy but, by the time she got to him, he had already been hit.

EMSA says the child has been taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Jack was a loving, caring young boy who was the light of his grandmother's world. He will be missed deeply. He passed on Sunday, July 5th and the funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday at Floral Haven.

My thoughts are with this family. This is a horrible tragedy. I have a 9-year-old autistic boy and he has gotten out of a locked house, but we were lucky that a neighbor found him quickly. Mom of autistic son in Tulsa
