to disgruntled...i guess you missed the sarcasm. i find it totally ridiculous to charge for the permit...if they relly wanted to know who was doing the shooting make them free. we all know times are hard so what would you do if it was you..pay a 50 dollar fee that cuts your budget probably in half or say screw it and get more for your family? this was just a way for the cities to cash in on the firework holiday nothing more.

Never mind Mr.Disgruntled ,I ,after seeing the attack on police with fireworks in N.Tulsa shamefully take back my remarks and plead for forgiveness.I am most disturbed by this.The poor police looked lost,hands tied.I have never seen Tulsa in as bad shape as it is in now.Crime totally out of control for fear of offending someone.The touchy,feely approach isn't working.Our politicians are only conccerned about their little part of town,downtown,and the river parks while the rest of town goes to the boogieman.Maybe we need outside help.

Yes aleman, I realize catalytic converters cause many huge grass fires every year. I realize that cars and trucks backfiring or even blowing a tire badly can cause fires. However, it comes back to the same thing. No, I am not going to stop driving my car. My car is LEGAL, and the catalytic converter is required by law. I may accidentally start a fire but I do it in a legal way. FIREWORKS ARE ILLEGAL AND THOSE LAWS SHOULD BE UPHELD. I would also like to comment on someone's statement that you can shoot fireworks in Bartlesville/Dewey if you pay a $50.00 permit fee. Some communities do this and the police have the names and addresses of those with the fireworks so that if something bad happens they know which people had them in the city limits.All I'm trying to say is that bad things happen all the time, but we don't need to be breaking the law to possibly make them happen. And, we especially DONT need our children to see us break the law. What are we teaching them; that it is all right to break the law if you dont agree with it or want to ignore? I have nothing against fireworks for evening shows; I think they're beautiful. But if you all want to have them in your yard, start a petition and get the law changed so that you can, And yes they've passed laws making something I like to do illegal a couple of times. Not all laws are agreeable to all people, but all laws should be upheld unless they are changed.
