When you're deciding where to live, you probably check out just how safe the apartment will be. Most apartment complex managers will tell you, they don't allow any convicted felons to live there. FOX23 found out that isn't always true.
A supervising parole officer with the department of corrections told FOX23, "a huge number of felons are living in Tulsa apartments".
Every time FOX23 called and asked management if felons were allowed to live on property, management told us felons were not allowed.
FOX23 found felons convicted of accessory to murder, shooting with the intent to kill, and assault and battery with a deadly weapon who were all living in Tulsa apartments where management told FOX23 felons were not allowed.
One mother told FOX23 she even notified a midtown and south Tulsa apartment complex that a man convicted of accessory to murder was living at that apartment complex, and even after notification, she says the management did nothing to remove the felon from the complex.
